What is an Aqua Pure Facial treatment?
Aqua Pure is a powerful 4-in-1 treatment that targets uneven skin tone, congested pores, excess oil, dehydrated skin, fine lines, and wrinkles. This treatment deeply cleanses pores using a hydradermabrasion treatment. A special tool uses incredibly fine jet spray to deep clean your skin while simultaneously suctioning away build-up and debris on and below the surface of the skin. Science-based technology allows the skin to be toned giving you a firmer look, and locks in nourishing moisture for healthy skin that’s deeply cleansed, refreshed, brighter, and plumper.
What does a Aqua Pure do

- Your skin is thoroughly cleansed and prepared for your treatment.
- Your technician uses hydradermabrasion to cleanse and nourish the skin.
- A hot electroporation wand is applied to help you absorb the nourishing products applied to your skin.
- A microcurrent wand is applied to stimulate your facial muscles.
- Cold electroporation is applied to close pores and lock in hydration.
Aqua Pure takes about 45 minutes and is a comfortable and relaxing treatment. Following the treatment, you will have fully cleansed skin and can return to your regularly scheduled day. You will be able to return to work, school, or other activities immediately.
Is Aqua Pure safe? Side effects and contraindications
The technology used in an Aqua Pure facial is FDA-approved and very safe. Aqua Pure is indicated for all skin tones and types. We believe almost everyone can benefit from an Aqua Pure facial. The technology used is safe and beneficial for most skin concerns including aging, congested pores, and dehydrated skin.
While providing you with excellent results, this facial is very gentle and can be used even on acneic or troubled skin. Generally, there are no safety indications necessary with Aqua Pure, but your aesthetician is trained to speak with you about any concerns they may foresee.
If you have eczema on your face, open sores or wounds, or an active rash, Aqua Pure should be avoided until your skin has cleared. Pregnant or nursing women should avoid Aqua Pure due to the chemicals used in the treatment.
This treatment is indicated for the all-around health of the skin. If you have a severe skin-health concern that you want to address, there may be other treatments better suited for you. Your aesthetician can help you decide.
How do you prepare?
Before coming in for your treatment, make sure you refrain from waxing or other hair removal services for at least 48 hours. Avoid sun exposure or tanning beds for at least 72 hours before your treatment. Also, you should stop taking any over-the-counter acne medications for at least 48 hours before your facial.
Aftercare
Following your treatment, you should be able to return to your regular schedule immediately. If you must wear makeup, please apply it lightly to allow the products used in the treatment time to fully absorb. As a precaution, you will need to apply an SPF of 35+ over a moisturizer every day for 2 weeks following your treatment.
How soon can you see results from an Aqua Pure Facial?
You will see immediate results and your skin will continue to improve in the days following your treatment.
How long will the results last?
After your first treatment, the immediate results will last at least 7 days. Because Aqua Pure dramatically increases your body’s collagen and elastin production, your skin will continue to improve in the weeks following your treatment. As with all our science-based, technological facials, the cumulative effects of continued treatment will increase the longevity of your results. This includes regularly scheduled facials and a consistent at-home care routine.
What’s the difference between a Hydrafacial and Aqua Pure?
Aqua Pure and a hydrafacial have some similarities. However, Novuskin’s Aqua Pure facial uses some additional technology that provides anti-aging benefits hydrafacials don’t have. We believe Aqua Pure is a superior treatment and look forward to showing you your incredible results.
